Duna

About Duna

Duna is a Hungarian public television channel, launched in December 1992 as Duna TV and now operated by Duna Médiaszolgáltató, the public media service provider based in Budapest. It began as the first Hungarian station to broadcast via satellite, with a mission to serve Hungarian communities living outside the country's borders. Since the 2015 reorganisation of public media it has been the main general-entertainment channel of the public broadcaster, airing Hungarian and foreign films and series, entertainment shows, documentaries, cultural programmes and the main evening news bulletin.

Programming is in Hungarian. The channel is free-to-air on digital terrestrial television in Hungary and is carried by cable, satellite and IPTV providers. Duna can be watched live on the broadcaster's MédiaKlikk website and app, although some content may be available only in Hungary.
