About Halk TV

Halk TV is a nationwide Turkish free-to-air television channel focused on news, political debate and current-affairs talk shows. It launched in 2005 and was historically linked to the Republican People's Party (CHP), though those ties were cut in 2011. During the 2013 Gezi Park protests it was one of the few Turkish channels to broadcast events live. Ownership changed in 2020, when businessman Cafer Mahiroğlu acquired the station.

Its schedule centres on news bulletins, interviews and studio discussions about Turkish politics and the economy, all in Turkish. Viewers can watch the channel live on the official website's live page and through a continuous official live stream on the broadcaster's YouTube channel. The channel is also available on satellite and cable platforms in Turkey.
