About Newsmax

Newsmax is an American cable and satellite news channel owned by Newsmax Media, the company founded by CEO Christopher Ruddy. Launched in June 2014, it airs a news and talk format with a conservative orientation, with much of its programming produced in New York. The channel's lineup is built around opinion and interview shows, breaking-news coverage and political commentary in English.

Newsmax is carried by cable and satellite providers and by virtual pay-TV services such as YouTube TV. The free online simulcast of the main channel ended in November 2023; the full live feed is now offered online through the paid Newsmax+ subscription service, while the separate Newsmax2 channel provides a free ad-supported service on streaming platforms. The newsmaxtv.com site lists the official ways to watch.
