About SVT24
SVT24 is a channel of Sveriges Television (SVT), Sweden's public service broadcaster, that repeats programmes from SVT1 and SVT2 in the evenings and at night and carries extra sport and news coverage, including sign language and interpreted bulletins.
It shares its broadcast slot with SVT Barn, which airs during the day. The channel carries no advertising and is funded by a public service fee collected through income tax. Viewers can watch SVT24 live for free on SVT Play, on the web and in the app, without an account. Some programmes, especially sport and acquired films, are available only to viewers in Sweden.
