About Beluga Boat Cam Underwater (explore.org)

The Beluga Boat Cam Underwater is a seasonal live camera operated by explore.org, the live nature-cam network of the Annenberg Foundation, in partnership with Polar Bears International. The camera is mounted below a boat in the Churchill River estuary near Churchill, Manitoba, on Hudson Bay, where thousands of beluga whales gather during the summer months.

Viewers can watch belugas swimming, feeding and calling close to the hull, sometimes with underwater audio. Because the whales are only present in summer, the stream runs during the season; outside it, explore.org shows highlight videos instead. The live feed is watched free on the explore.org cam page and through explore.org's official YouTube channel for whale and seal cams. There is no spoken commentary, so language is not a barrier.
