About NET Television
NET Television, usually called NET, is a free-to-air television station in Malta owned by NET Media, formerly Media.link Communications, the media arm of the Nationalist Party. It began broadcasting in 1998 from Pietà. The channel broadcasts mainly in Maltese and carries news bulletins, political discussion and current affairs, entertainment, magazine and cultural programmes.
As a party-owned station it presents the Nationalist Party's perspective on national affairs, and it is regularly among the most watched channels in Malta, competing closely with ONE, owned by the Labour Party. Its news output is also published on the NETnews website. The channel can be watched live on the official NET On Demand site, which streams the broadcast and offers programmes on demand.
