About NTD (New Tang Dynasty Television)

NTD, or New Tang Dynasty Television, is a television broadcaster based in New York City that was founded in 2001 by adherents of Falun Gong. It began as a Chinese-language station and later added other languages, including a 24-hour English channel launched in 2020. NTD belongs to the Epoch Media Group, which also publishes The Epoch Times.

The Chinese-language service broadcasts news about China and the world, commentary programmes, cultural and entertainment shows, and content critical of the Chinese Communist Party. Its reporting has drawn criticism from researchers and journalists for promoting misinformation. The Chinese channel is not available on mainland Chinese television. Viewers can watch the official live streams, including regional feeds, on the live TV page of ntdtv.com.
