About teleSUR
teleSUR is a Latin American news channel headquartered in Caracas, Venezuela. It launched in July 2005 as a multi-state project and is principally backed by the Venezuelan government, with Cuba and Nicaragua among its partners. The channel was created to offer a Latin American perspective on regional and world affairs, and its programming includes rolling news, live coverage of political events, interviews, debate programmes, documentaries and cultural features.
Broadcasts are mainly in Spanish, and a separate teleSUR English service publishes content online. The network is distributed by satellite, cable and partner broadcasters across the Americas and other regions. Viewers can watch the official signal through the live player on the teleSUR website, which opens from its En vivo button, and on the broadcaster's own 24/7 live YouTube channel, En Vivo teleSUR.
