About The Word Network
The Word Network is a religious television network based in Southfield, Michigan, and owned by Adell Broadcasting Corporation, led by chief executive Kevin Adell. Launched on DirecTV in February 2000, it describes itself as the largest African-American religious network in the world. Its schedule features sermons from national and international ministries, gospel music, interview programs, church conferences and special events such as gospel music awards.
Programming is in English. The channel is carried by cable and satellite providers in the United States and other countries, by several over-the-air affiliates, and through its own apps for mobile devices and streaming players. The network's official YouTube channel regularly carries live streams, but a continuous official web stream of the channel could not be confirmed.
