About Soyuz TV
Soyuz is a Russian Orthodox television channel based in Yekaterinburg and owned by the Yekaterinburg Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church. It began broadcasting on 31 January 2005, replacing a local channel on UHF channel 21, and has since grown into a channel distributed nationwide by satellite, cable and IPTV, with satellite coverage that also reaches viewers abroad.
The schedule centres on live and recorded broadcasts of church services, including the Divine Liturgy and all-night vigils, along with programmes on scripture, Orthodox history and culture, documentaries, talk shows with clergy, and family-oriented content. Programming is in Russian. A sister channel, Muzsoyuz, focuses on music. The live broadcast can be watched on the official website, and many services are also streamed on the channel's official YouTube and RuTube accounts.
